Maritime insecurity in the Sulu and Celebes Seas is a persistent challenge. Stable Seas contributed an article to The Diplomat to explore how political and economic exclusion, coastal welfare, and the development of the blue economy impacts sustainable maritime security.
The Forum was critical in broadening Stable Seas regional network and helped to spread awareness of the valuable products that Stable Seas could offer.
OEF’s Stable Seas program will release its newest report on the Sulu and Celebes Seas on February 19th in Manila, Philippines at a meeting of the Contact Group on Maritime Crime in the Sulu and Celebes Seas.
